272 – Inside Report of Jubilee Weekend 👑

RnR English sent 2 reporters to England to check out Jubilee Celebrations and here is the report 🕵️‍♂️ In reality, we just talk about eating sausages at parties 🌭, scary situations in the park 😨, the queen cleaning floors 🧽 and lots more! So get on the headphones, sit back and keeeeeeep on ROCKin’, baby! 👊

Look out for this RnR Vocab in today’s episode:

  • We start on a sour note
  • What a pat on the back that was
  • The person who put on the party
  • Then didn’t partake in anything else
  • It’s very hard to attack a frail, elderly woman
  • I am entitled to walk in the direction of my house
  • It’s a good job you’re not a royal
  • I had to come clean and say “sorry, she’s not here”
  • So put that in your pipe and smoke it
  • These are the circles CF Charlie moves in

RnR Grammar

In today’s episode, I said “I’m sure Prince William wishes he were me, without a shadow of a doubt”, notice this “he wishes he WERE me”. Here we are talking about a PRESENT wish (he wishes this thing now), but we use the past as we are now entering a “hypothetical world”. This is EXACTLY the same as when we use the past in the second conditional.
