RnR Grammar

This is more pronunciation than grammar, but as I don’t have a RnR pronunciation section, I thought I would include it here!

A common thing that Dan and I say on the show is:

“you could’ve / would’ve / should’ve bin….

The ‘bin’ part is not actually correct, the word we want to say is ‘been’. However, if you speak to any mother tongue English speaker, this will always be shorted to ‘bin’ when “could’ve”, “would’ve”, “should’ve” or even “might’ve” come before it.

IMPORTANT – writing words like “could’ve”, “should’ve” etc. in this way is VERY informal, only do this if you are writing to a very close friend and it doesn’t look so great!
