RnR Grammar

As we’re talking about America today, many people ask me what’s the difference between writing something like ‘realise’ and ‘realize’, which one is correct?

The answer is they are BOTH correct! But ‘realize’ is American spelling and ‘realise’ is British spelling. The only thing to be careful of is if you choose American spelling, then EVERYTHING in your email / essay must be in American spelling.

For example, if you write ‘realize’, then you must write ‘color’, but if you write ‘realise’, then you must write ‘colour’…. consistency is the key! 😉
