RnR Grammar

In the show I said:

“I’m about to make a fire”

We use the construction of “subject + to be + about to” A LOT in English, and it means “I will do it in the next few seconds / minutes”.

For example, we could say the following:

“It’s about to rain”

“I’m about to punch him”

“They’re about to close the restaurant”

It is a very EASY construction to learn (for meaning and grammar), but not many students use it, so ADD it to your discourse and sound more RnR when you speak! ?
