RnR Grammar

In today’s show, when I was talking about when I got shitfaced at lunchtime at work, I said:

In today’s show I said:

“Many people in relationships wish they were single”.

Notice how after the verb ‘wish’ we use the past, but remember this is for PRESENT wishes! So in this case, many people wish (now) that they were single.

For past wishes, we use the past perfect – “I wish I had never studied Economics” (is one I often say!).

For future wishes, we use would / could – “I wish Dan would be more enthusiastic!” (is another one I often say!)

“I woke up and my computer had switched itself off”

That’s RnR grammar for you baby 👊
