That’s right, today I speak to the other half of the Real English With Real Teachers dream team! 🔥 We have a very RnR conversation about dead mice in offices, queen size beds, buns in ovens and lots more, so sit back, put your headphones on and just keeeeeeeep on ROCKin’, baby! 👊
The RnR Vocabulary that you will learn in this episode:
It just rolls off the tongue
I’ve upped that
It was very thorough
This is spot on
It did sound like a way in
Something that went against me was that I didn’t smoke
You didn’t enjoy the 9-5 life
You start off as the office runner
We were quickly in an expat bubble
I was thrown into the deep end
There are lots of dodgy language schools around the world
I just blurted it out
You’ve knocked her up
Congratulations for the bun in the oven
We stockpile videos when we’re together
They’ve stitched me up here
You need to develop thick skin
Why spend more time having a go at people?

In today’s show I used some lovely third conditional when I was talking about when I asked the secretary if I was working illegally, then I said “if I had thought about it, I wouldn’t have said it!”
I think everyone knows the formula “had + past participle / would have + past participle”, but it’s always nice to be reminded!
