The plan was to give tips on for romantic holidays, but it becomes quite obvious we know nothing about that 😅 But we do talk about how far you would walk to save €2 🚶♂️, the embarrassing moment of when they make you taste wine before you drink it 🍷, why you SHOULDN’T be sociable and lots more! There’s so lovely RnR vocab on the website, so just sit back, relax and keeeeeep on ROCKin’ baby! 👊
The RnR Vocab you will learn in today’s pod:
I was feeling it that day
You will be disappointed but not overly so
Do you let yourself go and spend more money
Lira really got carried away with itself
Do you go to swanky restaurants?
Unless it’s gone off (the wine)
The cork
I spent most the time wondering if they were looking for a foursome
This one is right up your street
They were all above board (massages)
It was a bit of a let down (nose hair cleaning)
We all have upkeep to do
The picture was just a blurry mess
Watching Netflix series I’ve fallen behind on
We all like a bit of downtime
Everyone else seemed to have parasols
Going for a stroll
The music is blaring
Instead of learning grammar rules, it’s often best to learn chunks of language (which basically means ‘learn all of the phrase’). So today, I just want you to learn the phrase “this is right up your street” and you will sound truly RnR!
The answer is that they are BOTH correct! It’s just that in the UK, we use ‘got’ and in the US they use ‘gotten’, so don’t worry!
