You were there moaning about the cost of the wedding
I wasn’t like a blubbering mess…

It means like ‘nags’!
In today’s podcast when Clarification Charlie was talking about writing a letter of complaint she said:
“It would be a strongly worded letter”
The term ‘strongly worded’ is lovely, I was trying to think of other examples in which we use it but I couldn’t really think of any, as 90% of the time you will hear exactly that “strongly worded letter / email”. For this reason, it’s so important to remember chunks of language, don’t learn words in isolation!
And the best thing about learning chunks of language is…. the grammar is included in the chunk! 👊
