Episode 8 – Why travelling is good for you

Listen to why travelling is good for you, how I nearly got killed in Thailand and the time Dan and I shared a caravan (see picture below), plus as always, lots of RnR vocabulary such as:

  1. That was a one-off

  2. I owned up to it

  3. Reliable information

  4. I was a rock star once upon a time

  5. It makes your bond stronger

  6. You’ve put me on the spot

  7. Whatever place I pick you’re going to take the piss out of me

  8. We were in the dodgy part of town

Here is the picture of Dan the Man at the caravan mentioned in the podcast in case you’re interested – he seems to be enjoying it here!

RnR Grammar

Similar to last episode’s RnR Grammar point, in this episode I said:

“you’ve always been weak, Dan”

It’s an action that started in the past but STILL in PROGRESS, so why don’t we use the present perfect continuous?

That’s right…. you’ve guessed it… it’s a STATE verb – BOOM!
