It’s a SPECIAL episode for a SPECIAL day today! ? Dan the Man gets a surprise from a couple of members of his family ??, plus there is talk of VOMITING out of car windows ?, letting CATS out of BAGS ?, TERRIBLE presents ? and even some TERRIBLE audio! ? Plus… some really nice RnR vocabualry….
I’m worried as I know you‘re up to something
I tend to be very picky about podcasts
I really enjoy the banter between Martin and Dan
33 years young today Dan!
Mrs. Dan the Man had better get me something, or there will be trouble!
I almost let the cat out of the bag when I accidentally played one second of the audio before the podcast
Before we listen, I just want to reiterate that I did not influence what was said
Dan threw up all down the side of my car
As we all know, Dan is a tight b*stard
I have been saying that for a long time, now I have someone to back me up
I always moan at Dan for the quality of his audio
M: “How do you feel after hearing that?” D: “Over the moon“
M: “Have you got anything planned for the rest of the day?” D: “I’ll probably have a word with my sister at some point”
Yea, I don’t want to spend 5 days with you either, we’re on the same page
…listen, have fun and just keep on ROCKIN’ baby! ✌️
When I asked Dan the Man if Mrs. Dan the Man had got him a present, he said:
“She’d better get me something or…”
We use this expression when we if we think there will be negative results if someone does not do what is desired or suggested (in this case, there will be negative results for Mrs. Dan the Man if she doesn’t do what Dan desires which is get her a present).
Notice though that it is always “she had better”, does “she have better” exist? Absolutely not! So make sure you always use ‘had’ and make sure you always HEAR it, as sometimes when people say “she’d” it can be difficult!
As mentioned in the show, the review came from Zdenek who has his own English podcast – check it out HERE ! 🙂
