Am I getting sacked?
…keep on ROCKIN’ baby! ?
Some SERIOUS RnR grammar in today’s show! Right at the end of the episode, Dan said to me:
“Am I getting sacked?”
Why does he use ‘get’ in this sentence? ?
The answer to that question is because the ACTION is being done by SOMEONE ELSE (as Dan would not sack himself, someone else would sack him).
We use this for other things like:
“Did you get your haircut?”
As obviously we do not cut our hair, the action is done by someone else so we say “get your haircut”.
That’s some serious grammar baby ?
