RnR Grammar

The term ‘fair and square’ is a lovely term which is basically a funny way to say ‘fairly’, but why don’t we say “square and fair”? Or why don’t we say “I love chips and fish” instead of “fish and chips”…?

The answer is… there is no reason! Some words just go in a specific order and if you change the order, it sounds very strange!
