When there’s not a lot going on… the best thing to do is talk about NOTHING! And that’s exactly what we do as we talk about Prince Andrew 🤴, new BEST friends 🎎, supermarkets on mountains ⛰️ and lots more! All the vocab is on the website, so just keeeeeep on ROCKin’, baby! 👊
The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:
We are up to our eyeballs in reviews
We’re going to have a bit of a catch up
Am I really bothered?
This interview is a car crash
I’ve racked my brains thinking about this
It’s difficult in fit in with society here
I think ‘climbing’ is a stretch
It’s just too much hassle
I’m still young at heart
I was talking about a jacket that I happened to have with me
I have a much deeper affiliation with this jacket
I flicked it on for the last 15 mins
You should’ve just downed a pint and smashed the glass on the floor
In today’s episode, I said “I don’t have a paedophile’s phone number on my phone, but if I DID, I wouldn’t save it as Jeffrey Paedophile”.
Did you notice how the emphatic do is in the past there? Why? Because it’s the second conditional!
Yes it can be used like this and yes it is very common! “I don’t ….., but if I DID …., I would ….” – some real RnR grammar there!
