In today’s episode, when I was saying that I didn’t do much research, I said to Dan:
“I could’ve done some research, it would’ve taken 2 minutes”
These are modal verbs used in the past form and to do this, we always follow the formula below:
Modal Verb + Have + Part Participle of Verb
It is a very useful piece of grammar to know and use, as it allows you to speak about PAST events that you cannot change. PLUS…. it’s very easy and using this type of RnR grammar makes you sound like a fully competent speaker!
