Some useful information (especially for Dan the Man) about how to be MORE positive in life. Talk (and music) of DJs saving lives ?, friendly neighbours ? making mountains out of molehills.. PLUS some THIRD conditional and future perfect RnR grammar – ooooh SEXY! ??
Here is today’s RnR vocabulary:
“I think she must be talking about you” “I reckon so“
What’s the show about? Come on, spit it out
Listen to some uplifting music
The Canadian guy really used to piss me off
I like to live life in the fast lane
Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill (to understand this expression better, click HERE to see what a ‘molehill’ is).
Do you think your cough will get better? Yes, I’m on the mend
At the end of today’s episode, I said to Dan the Man:
“I hope your cough will have gone before the next podcast”
This is the future perfect tense. Very sexy.
But when do we use it?
We use to describe a FUTURE ACTION that will be finished BEFORE a SPECIFIC moment in the future.
In this example, the ‘future action’ is the cough going away and the specific time in the future is the next podcast.
You will often see the word ‘before’ used with this tense and often the word ‘when’. For example:
“when I am 80, I will have made more than 1000 podcasts”
Now that’s Rock n’ Roll.
