RnR Grammar

In today’s show, when I was talking about when I got shitfaced at lunchtime at work, I said:

“I woke up and my computer had switched itself off”

Notice we have the past perfect here, which is when we use when we speak about 2 actions in the past and one happens before the other. The first thing to happen was my computer switched off, so we put that in the past perfect and say ‘had switched itself off‘.
