RnR Grammar
We had some serious past perfect continuous in today’s show when I said:
“I had been growing my hair for 6 months”
Remember, this is used similar to the normal past perfect where we talk about 2 actions in the past – where one action comes before the other (in this situation the ‘action’ of growing my hair, came before the action of the haircut), but we use this continuous tense to EMPHASISE the DURATION of the action (in this case, 6 months).
