RnR Grammar

I may have said this before, but I’ll say it again as it is VERY important!

The phrase from today’s podcast “I take what I see on the internet as gospel” is a lovely phrase, but since I told you ‘gospel’ means ‘truth’, does that mean it’s correct in this context below?

“You’re lying!”

“No, I’m not, I’m telling the gospel!”

Answer is…. NO! Memorise words in the contexts that you see them, but most importantly take the GRAMMAR from it! This phrase will always be “take + something + as + gospel”, so don’t think it’s a great idea to experiment with these phrases… leave that to scientists! 😬
