Mojo = Magic, but it’s not easy keeping your magic, is it? 😬 So in this pod, we look at ways to do EXACTLY that, baby! There’s talk of WHATSAPP vagina pictures 🤢, lots of MOANING 😀, 9 year olds with BEARDS in church 🧔 and lots more useless rubbish! So just keeeeeep on ROCKin’ baby – BOOM! 💣💣💣
The RnR vocab that you will learn in today’s show:
3rd in a row, the hat-trick
I don’t mean to rain on your parade, but CCF was the the first choice
I don’t want you getting a big head
The latter sounds quite possible to me
Your confidence is still I imagine rock bottom
Any shit I see on the internet, I take as gospel
I think we were trying to beat around the bush here
Have a heart to heart with a friend about losing your mojo
Stop whining
Yea, I don’t think that would go down too well, would it?
I’m going to look into that
Maybe I could get away with it
Do something daring
How sensible it is to wear seat belts
I’ll dust off the t-shirts
I may have said this before, but I’ll say it again as it is VERY important!
The phrase from today’s podcast “I take what I see on the internet as gospel” is a lovely phrase, but since I told you ‘gospel’ means ‘truth’, does that mean it’s correct in this context below?
“You’re lying!”
“No, I’m not, I’m telling the gospel!”
Answer is…. NO! Memorise words in the contexts that you see them, but most importantly take the GRAMMAR from it! This phrase will always be “take + something + as + gospel”, so don’t think it’s a great idea to experiment with these phrases… leave that to scientists! 😬
